I have been an academic and Buddhist practitioner for nearly forty years, and was initially trained in the Tibetan Gelugpa tradition in India and then in Sri Lanka studying Theravada. I have also lectured in Buddhist Studies at the University of Bristol, but at present am an Associate Director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and teach on the Masters programme in MBCT at Oxford University. I also teach at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University.
