Over the last 12 years, I have led weeklong secular Mindfulness meditation retreats in the UK, Spain and Iceland . I have co taught with Karunavira, John Peacock, Sarah Silverton, Robert Marx and Kate Gooch. These have been based on Anapanasati or Satipatthana approaches. I like to include regular movement practices based in yoga and Chi Kung as an important supportive aspect of these silent retreats.

I have been teaching the 8 week course in Sussex since 2005, to the general public, Carers, NHS staff, older people and school teachers.

I gained a British Wheel of yoga teaching diploma in 2002 and practised aikido for many years. Mindful movement remains a keen interest.

Since 2011, I have been a member of the core Bangor University CMRP Training Team and also a main trainer offering a one year teacher training through Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Since 2015, with Estrella Fernandez, I have been helping to create a BU/MN teacher training pathway (TTP) in MBCT in Spain/Latin America. In 2019, alongside Vanessa Hope I began another TTP collaboration with Anna Dóra Frostadóttir from the mindfulness centre in Reykjavik , Iceland.

I have also played an important role in the wider UK field, being the convenor of the UK Network (now renamed BAMBA) in 2016 and also setting up with Sharon Hadley the UK Listing (now the Register). I am currently the UK based member of the International Integrity Network.
